JALAYRIDS: Shaykh Uways I, 1356-1374, AR 2 dinars (3.56g), al-Bahrayn, AH(7)66, A-2302S, type SA, full bold mint name and somewhat careless engraved date in the obverse margin, first known Jalayrid coin of Bahrain, about 25% flat strike, unpublished and unique, VF, RRRR. The only other reported 14th century coins of al-Bahrayn was struck in AH762, just four years before this piece, but in the name of the Muzaffarid ruler Shah Shuja. Estimate: 200-300 USD...
