Abstract
The city of Sāmarrā "Surra Man Raˈa" was founded during the era of the Abbāsid Caliph Al-Muʿtasim Bi-Allāh, then it became the capital of the Abbāsid caliphate in its second era in the period between 221-279AH. Notably, "Surra Man Raˈa" has issued many prototypes of coins, which represent an important development in the monetary history of the Abbāsid Caliphate. In this regard, the study will shed light on the most significant prototypes of coins, which were struck in "Surra Man Raˈa", besides, the publishing of eighty-eight specimens which are preserved in FINT center at Tübingen University in Germany, also, the private collection of both Dr. Yahiya Gaʿfar (YG), and Mr. Abdullah bin Jasem Al-Moutairy in the United Arab Emirates. Significantly, this collection represents the largest group published of "Surra Man Raˈa's coins in this period; therefore, the research represents an overview of the development of the Abbāsid coinage prototypes by studying the coinage of "Surra Man Raˈa". - تأسست مدينة سامراء "سر من رأى" في عهد الخليفة العباسي المعتصم بالله، ثم أصبحت عاصمة للخلافة العباسية في عهدها الثاني في الفترة ما بين 221-279هـ. والجدير بالذكر أن "سر من رأى" قد أصدرت العديد من النماذج الأولية للعملات المعدنية، والتي تمثل تطوراً مهماً في التاريخ النقدي للخلافة العباسية. وفي هذا الصدد، ستلقي الدراسة الضوء على أهم النماذج الأولية للعملات المعدنية التي تم ضربها في "صرة من رأى"، فضلاً عن نشر ثمانية وثمانين عينة محفوظة في مركز FINT بجامعة توبنجن في ألمانيا، وكذلك المجموعة الخاصة لكل من الدكتور يحيى جعفر (YG)، والأستاذ عبد الله بن جاسم المطيري في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة. ومن الجدير بالذكر أن هذه المجموعة تمثل أكبر مجموعة منشورة من عملات "سر من رأى" في هذه الفترة، لذا فإن البحث يمثل نظرة عامة على تطور نماذج العملات العباسية من خلال دراسة عملات "سر من رأى".
